The beauty in sparseness. Congratulations on your top 20 finish. |

Beautiful shot. The monochromatic look and similar textures between land and sky give it a very airy and ethereal feel. Clarity and DOF are nice. |

The sparseness of the tree adds that extra fine touch to complemnet the overall beauty. Bumping up. |

the snow on the ground is a bit too much dodged for my tastes, otherwise a nice sky and good photo. |

In my eyes, you've composed a scene full of emotion. The soft muted tones are perfect for this shot. Excellent composition and exposure. A 10 for me!
Nice finish once again Rudy. You have a very special gift. Keep up the good work.

7 - Very nice scene. Criticism; of course the size restrictions wouldn't do this justice, but especially given this image, in my opinion, had you sacrificed the frame (which again at this size doesn't help it - too 'thick'), to gain a little more 'space' to show the scene, would have likely helped this here. The largest cloud (again perhaps emphasized/highlighted at this size) detracts from the 'feel' and purity of this shot - mainly because it is so dominant. I like the centering, and while trying to judge if the horizon is 'level', I have no idea. The gentle sloping of the land is nice and the distant clouds - which look almost like a 'cloud forest', are very unique and again, I am sure are not able to be 'appreciated' at this size. Perhaps the trees placed/cropped (depending what you had to work with of course) more into the center, may have also made this even better (ie; more balance) but not sure. Also, perhaps a little more 'foreground snow', may have also made this even better, but again depends what you had to work with. |

Beautiful image but I'd like the trees to stand out just a touch more. 7 |

This is subtle yet quite powerful. I love the monochromatic color scheme. The three bare trees are a perfect grounding force. The clouds couldn't have been placed better had you placed them there yourself! I wish it were bigger. Beautiful! |
