Cool Bird, great exposure, not thrilled about the composition but you've isolated him (or possibly her) from the background well. 7 |

Cool bird, might have been slightly better if you used a lighter background. The bottom half of the bird is difficult to see with the dark background. Great detail and focus though. |

I saw these birds at the SD Wild Animal park and they are very difficult to shoot. Great job! |

A very colorful, pretty bird for sure. Just lacking something in the "wow" department. Perhaps a closer shot, filling the frame better with the bird. Or a lighter color background so he/she doesn't look like he/she has no beak? |

It is a shame the dark feathers at the bottom blend in with the background. Nice colours though. |

7 - Good colors, especially against this background. Criticism; quality dependent, an even tighter crop (especially to lose that leg tag) and 'use' those two vivid/bright blues, may have made this even better in my opinion. Difficult, but also like to be able to discern that beak a bit more which may have happened with a tighter crop, not sure. |

Focus is perfect, and the subject is nicely isolated from the background. However, half of the bird is in the dark, therefore barely visible. Moreover, the tail should not be cut out in my opinion, i.e the camera should have been moved to the right so as to frame the bird entirely. |

Beautiful bird. Love the detail you captured in the feathers. Now, I know you may not have had control over the background, but you really need a lighter one for this to really work. On my monitor, the bird looks beakless and bodyless because the beak and lower dark feathers are melting in the background. |

Oh these birds make such beautiful pictures! This one is so well done. You can see every little hair in his feathers! The background is so complimentary to this too! Ijust love it. |
