The big question: Is this matrix cool? or is it a kid wrapped in a sheet?

Spoon is suspended by thread. Caden really is just wrapped in a sheet. (I didn't have anything better.) Bent the spoon with my Leatherman.

Post production: Two level layers. One to blow out the background (which hid the threads without cloning), one to keep the sheet around and lighten his face.

Cloning and healing brush on the back of the spoon. Dodge his eyes. Clone out some food on his face (geez, couldn't I have noticed that before the pic?). Resize, USM, Neat image layer to 45%, USM.

Congratulations on making the top 20 with this. I gave it a 10, without even getting The Matrix link (never having seen the movie, though I saw some of Reloaded).) At first glance, I thought the reflection on the sppon was blood, but of course, it's his fingers.

I think the technical photography in this quite fine. Not sure of the choice of costume, just looks odd. There is a bit of reflection on the back of the spoon that I am straining to make out and I think it might have been done away with. Also the spoon might have been placed a bit lower and more right in this which might have avoided the reflection. I think your premise of it floating by the little magician would have been intact and maybe avoided the reflection. Very nice effort.

I was waiting for that one. A bit flat light and the background is too bright, but otherwise pretty good.

Like the idea and that the spoon is up in the air without any trace of something holding it up.

Dislike the ultra white backround and the strong halo around the boys outlines, looks like you whitened the backround afterwards and it just looks off somehow.

All in all above average in the challenge, gave it a 6.
