Detail shot of a collection of Kodak cameras from the first half of the last century. All are in working condition. The View Camera No. 2-D (5x7 large format), Medalist II (6x9 rangefinder on 620 film), Duo Six-20 Series II (6x4.5 scale focusing folder on 620 film), and Retina IIIc (35mm folding rangefinder) are still used on a regular basis.

Shot taken with a slave strobe to the right and above the cameras and a slaved flash to the left of the cameras level with them. Both triggered by the onboard flash set to manual at 1/16 power.
Captured in RAW and converted with Photoshop CS2 Camera RAW. Noise removed with Neat Image.

i love the concept for this photo, but would like to have seen the step be lower for setting up the top row of cameras.

The shadows and glare/reflections are distracting.

The technique used to photograph and present these classics fits perfectly. Very nicely done!

I like your title...I just finished applying to the Eastman Conservatory of Music...my father (photographer) was telling me all about George Eastman.
I wish you could have positioned the cameras a little differently. I do not like how the cameras above are cropped off on top, and that there is a bunch of white space in the center of the pic.

I like your idea, but there is something about the composition I don't like. Maybe it's the way the white space is a bit unbalanced, or the way the tops of the cameras on the top row are cut off? You've blown the highlights a little as well. Still, awesome collection, and all things considered, quite a good photograph of it.

Great lay-out for multiple items. A little over sharp for my likes, but not bad.
