Too dark. We can't appreciate the colorful balloons.

I like the balloons, but the glare of the sun makes them dim and hard to make out details - I think I'd rather have seen them either brighter, or fully as silhouettes. (Given the odds that the breeze would just move them on your whim, I suspect silhouettes would be the more possible of those two....) I wish the upper left balloon didn't slip slightly out of the frame - it draws my eye out of the picture. Except for that less-than-centimeter placement, I like the composition, the curve they form.

The balloons are kind of dark, and I would've cropped out the sun in the lower left hand corner. I like the feeling of this.

With better lighting this would be a terrific picture. A good capture no doubt, but the sun in the corner really takes away the continuity of this pic to me. Not to mention messing up the exposure a little too.

Shooting into the light has caused the baloons to be underexposed

Interesting composition... the sun flare kind of ruins the shot for me, though. 5

It's got B's in it, but its a pity that the sun is behind them as the balloons have no colour or real definition at all. I'm just used to brightly coloured ballon pics.
If this was a sunset pic, with the balloons silhouetted, it would have worked so much better

I like the balloons, I would have liked this more if we could have had more color in the sky and in the balloons. Just a little to dark for me.

I really like the line created by the balloons. The sun is a little harsh though and washes out the color. There's also a little vignetting in the upper left corner.

If you set your white balance in your camera and have the sun out fo the picture this would be prefect.

While you meet the challenge, the sun is totally overblown and the balloons are too dark. Try not to use auto-exposure if you include great differences in light and dark. Better even, frame so that the sun is not in the photo. I do like how the three balloons are nicely lined up and make the eye flow through the image.

Nice arrangement but poor lighting.

I almost think cropping the sun out so that the smallest balloon is in the the lower right corner would make the picture seem more balanced.

Pretty good shot except I'm not crazy for the crop. I believe you've tried to include too much. I'm guilty of the same thing...(often). The large balloon is cropped too tight and the sun flare really doesn't add to the over all shot.
Still this is not a disaster .....

Too dark on the balloons.
06/30/2003 12:38:35 AM
nice view though

too bad the sun was in the wrong spot (well the baloons would be a bit easier to move ;p so it's about 1.5 stops too dark would have had great color if it had some more post processing or a brighte shot
