My very best friend. He and his wife give nearly two months of their time to charities each year in our local area. They make private and public appearances throughout Central California, and raise funds by donation only. This year their efforts (100%) will go to the "Children's Skin Disease Foundation"(CSDF)and "Camp Wonder". For more information please feel free to visit the Children's Skin Disease Foundation at www.csdf.org

Great portrait, and what a perfect S. Claus. I'd've pulled the background down to black/neutral.

Looks like he's saying hohoho right now :) Good shot, although hat is a little blown out.

Great composition - you really filled the frame with your main subject who is all jolly holiday red and white! The gold-rimmed glasses gently rest below the squinting eyes which I get the impression are from laughing so hard one is close to tears (the reason I get this impression is from the smile/laugh I see on his mouth.

A very real looking Santa! Well composed. I think I'd prefer it if the background was just burned black - feeling like Santa is sitting in someone's backyard detracts a bit from the overall feeling of the photo.

Great Santa shot! A marketing/media agency would love this for the Christmas season advertisting. Very well done. 10

7 - Good - I see a lot of potential in this shot. Good (and apt/befitting) character 'capture'. Criticism; think there is more potential in this shot though, especially with the advanced editing - and the 'theme' (Christmas/Santa Claus/etc); perhaps if you had 'softened' the grass/shrubs/whatever in the background, as they bring too much 'reality' into this in my opinion, or possibly just a selective desaturation not sure. The detail is good in 'Santa's' glasses, beard etc, coloring good too, but perhaps some 'softening', or, not sure, but just to try to really emulate that 'spirit'/create the 'illusion' - if that makes sense, sorry, hard to explain/convey, but I tried. A few 'blown' issues in the white, but difficult with this, the beard's whiteness seems fairly good. Perhaps just a little more 'costume' incorporated (depending what you had to work with of course), and possibly even 640 x 640 (again that left background issue would come into play, unless more costume could be had on the right, etc), would likely have helped make this an even better shot in my opinion.

This is my 10,000 th vote. And considering the time of year, this is an appropriate picture to use it on. Love the expression. Pity the background isn't slihghtly m,ore blurred.
