*** Greetings from the Critique Club ***

heh I definately hear you on that one. Bills are a big part of adulthood. If only we could go back to when they didn't exist and we worried so much about the things that don't seem to matter anymore lol.

Anyway, you got a really good and original idea here. Your composition, however, I personally don't find up to the level that I know you're capable of from looking through your portfolio.

I find your lighting to be a bit dim, but that's a matter of taste, exposure seems fine, so let's focus a bit more on composition.

There is no main point of interest that grabs my eye and makes it rest. Generally, this main point of interest *should* fall somewhere along one of the lines in the rule of thirds. This rule, while mostly a general idea that one should follow sometimes, can be quite powerful when used effectively.

It helps to think of your photograph as a painting or a drawing. Where would the artist (that's you because it's a photograph) place this or that, could they choose to include this or put this here and so on. How about flow: where should the viewer's eye start (this is normally going to be near an edge or a corner), then what is going to draw it to the main point of interest, should I allow it to wonder slightly and so on.

So when it's all said and done, I think you made a wonderful photograph here with a great idea and full of originality. If you focused a bit more on composition (through the lens and through cropping/rotating on the computer), I think this could take your entry from an average photo to one that pulls the viewer and demands their attention. One that really makes them stop and think and feel drawn into the image. Good luck in future challenges and in your photography, stick with it, you have the eye and the creativity.

whites are lacking in brightness. I don't think you'd need to get a pure white, but somewhat lighter would help.

how true - this shot is a bit too dark tho, and the bills are not that interesting as a focal point. Maybe if some were on the floor and you captured one dropping it would create more of an impact.

Great idea, but seems a bit dark on my end. The whole picture that is. Maybe bumping up the brightness / contrast would give this image more impact? 5 from me.
