I just wrote a long description, pressed submitted and was told the file was still too big and lost everything I had written. I wish it wouldn't do that, because I can't be bother retyping it all.

I know this shot will do badly as I am not really happy with it. However since I haven't entered in a long time, I thought it was about time I do. Plus I do like sexy kind of shots.

Set up on a sheet in my room. I only really had a few feet to work with and no lighting, which is why the flash reflection is present (I did try and clone a little bit out to make it less distracting).

Anyway the two glasses are actually blue and red, but I decided that if I did a desaturated photo with just red it would be far more effective, so changed the hue of the blue.

Its kind of high key, which I like, but will more than likely get marked low on.

Not trying to please anyone though but myself, so we will see how it goes.

I would be disappointed with anything under 5.0, despite not being 100% happy.

When you think about it, its not really wise to photography a clear bottle with a dark bg lol Oh well lol

Hello from the Critique Club!

I really like this image. It fits the challenge perfectly.

The first thing that stands out and makes this image powerful is the use of colour. The strong red and black gives it instant impact.
The second element is its graphic quality, achieved through the use of desaturation.
Compositionally, there is a wonderful triangle formed which is really pleasing to the eye, and which leads the eye from the top of the image to bottom.
The balance between positive and negative space is perfect. As is the balance between red and black. Both of these elements create an overall sense of 'rightness' for the viewer.
The lighting has brought out lovely highlights on the cap of the bottle, the writing around the neck and on the glasses. It also brings out the stitching on the underwear.

Overall, a really good, graphic image.

Good pic. The best, of the ones like this, I have seen. The red makes it pop!

lol. Very funny. There is an attempt to eradicate tonal values for effect. I would have simply exposed 100% for the underwear. However, as a semi graphical representation the image remains a strong visual.

i like the harshness of the white and red in this image. it really adds to that "one too many" feeling...

you clipped out a litle too much detail in the higs/lows for my taste. i would have like to see the logo in full also, nice colors and composition though.
