| Great photo! wonderful lighting and detail. I could get lost studying the texture here. I think the left hand salute adds a lot of interest factor to the shot. What I find most captivating about this shot though is the eyes. They are just 'right there' staring you down. I think the hand also plays in here, forming a leading line, helping to really draw attention to those eyes, as well as the catchlights there. Once there, they just grab and hold your attention strongly. I find myself locked in and then wanting to turn away, as though those eyes could see into the secrets that hide within my soul. Very strong, compelling image IMO. Very well done indeed! |

the man's face is wonderful, clear crisp and almost Rockwell like.
I dont like the darkened area in the background though.
