When I feel low, and I mean really low, this is exactly what I feel like. Notice the square spotlight and how it is reflected on both the x and y axis. All three dimensions have a darkness with a square hole in it. All three dimensions are isolated from each other.

The floor is aware of her presence, hints of a shadow/reflection, but she is not aware that the floor is aware. There is a sense here that sorrow, like everything else, has an ending.

Fantastic shot. I really like how the darkness is encroaching on the light of this shot, adding to the emotion you've captured here.

Well done.

A very good emotional portrait. The composition works very well with the leading lines pointing to the main subject. Great lighting and post processing.

beautiful picture: the (very subtile) brownyish black and composition, and the neatness

The color and facial expression really make you feel her pain. Excellent compositon. The lines of the wall and floor draw you right into the subject. Good Luck

Good use of toning here. I like the expression on the little girl's face. My nephew appears to be about the same age. I always try to piss him off just to get some interesting facial contortions ;-) Nice work!!

The poor thing, I want to give her a hug! The expression is great, I love how the light hits her and hilights her hair. Very nicely captured

Very emotive photo, even though - because of the look/feel/mood of the photo - I would have expected more of a look of fear or anger, rather than a pout.
Nicely done. 8

Really well done. I can see this on the cover of a novel. The lighting in combination with the composure and leading line just sends your eye right to the subject. The subtle variations of shadow really help create the title's mood. Bravo. 9
