Yes, Jimmy. That is my youngest son, 14. thanks!

Fantastic shot! Love the sepia tones and the winding road - really makes it more desolate. (Is that one of your kids?) Really a tremendous image! Nice work!

I didn't do anything to it. This is pretty much a point and shoot camera that I took this shot with.

Thanks!

Wow! That's a great shot. I love how the road winds its way through it, disappearing and reappearing in a different place. The young person is perfect. Perfect placement, perfect 'costume' perfect exposure. As a newbie, I have to ask whether you used any special technique to keep the subject's back from being underexposed - flash, dodging, etc. Thanks.

Damned, great details! I am astonished to see such a good contrast since I've always noticed S70 has made blurry images...

Sepia is very stylish here :)

Hey Sonja,

I was just studying this photograph yet again, and am just in awe of the mastery of all elements here. I'm just stunned. Some day I hope to do such work!

Thanks everyone!!! You are all really great.

This is a picture of my son about 10 miles out of town. Great place to take pictures. I took it in sepia tones in my camera settings. Messed with the contrast just a tad. No cropping done. It was an overcast day. I am not sure why the sky looks so pink with the sepia settings from my camera. I liked it though.

I appreciate the critiques and comments from everyone. Thank you!

Sonja!!! Congratulations!!! Awesome shot. Your imagine & execution and artestry are the infamous "triple threat" and you have it, my friend. I don't enter these challenges much anymore because I just don't have time with my job and my freelance business but the first thing I do when the challenge is over is look for your photo and it always makes me smile. Congratulations again.

Great image! The only possible improvement at shooting time would have been to modifiy the hight at witch it was taken: have the boy's whole head contrast with the sky or with the hills. I like the fact that the leading line does not lead anywhere, it realy is the main subject's leading line not ours as viewers. But if you look well enough, this young boy will take you for a long stroll along it; very dynnamic idea, and exausting...I think I'll get a drink.

I wasn't really thrilled with most of the entries in this challenge. But I thought this one was practically postcard. That's a good thing. I like your use of thirds. The body is on the line and the head and feet are right in the sweet spots. Perfect. I also liked the duotone feel of it all.

This is my favorite shot for the challenge. I really hope this wins. The lines undulating line of the road going into the distance blends beautifully with the horizontal soft whisps of clouds and the location and apparel of the subject is just right. Great job! Looking forward to congratulating whoever this is again when the challenge is over...
