Good shot. Love the dramatic feeling of it and those colors are the right choice for this one. Nice lighting.

i absolutely love this image.. you have created a wonderful dramatic air and contemplative mood. so the title does fit nicely. the lighting is what really makes this stand out to me. i love how we can only see half of his face. and the colors really add to the mood as well. very nice work on however you post-processed this. wonderful.

What a wonderful shot and processing. A really like the darkness of it and it certainly deserved better than what it got!!

If you mention Joey it wasn't helpful. Too bad.

i saw a lot of pictures ranked above yours that weren't as good as this one. definitely one of the best from the challenge.

I'm not going to read the comments cause I know they'll say "too dark," but that is precisely why I adore it. Man, this should have done WAY better. I stick by my original 9 all day long.

If it wweren't so dark (in shade) I would think this was Joey's work. Too much detail lost in the shadows.

Beautiful and emotive shot Mauricio ;) Love this one more than your garbage entry. 8

It's a little dark (mood wise) for my taste, but quite an excellent shot. I really like all the shades of green. Good job. 7

Great photo, I like it. It's creative with unique editing. Try crop a little bit off from the left, maybe all the way to the "lock"(?) on the door or maybe just have all of the person's right foot inside the frame with a little bit space from it to the edge. I think the darkest area to the left isn't necessary. Good job, I like it when people get creative and it works out this good. Great job!

Interesting how the most prosaic of subjects and the simplest of set-ups can result in a memorable and powerful image if (but only if) the original idea is a worthy one, clearly expressed and sympathetically executed. This is one of those! 9.

Very nice photo. Great use of lighting and shadows to create a mood. Detail, focus, and composition, and use of negative space are nice.... 8

What makes this picture special is that I'm pretty sure who took it. A unique and consistent style combined with rich compositions sets you apart from the rest. Nice job.

Hallmarks of a JPR/JL about it. Title feels a bit banal in the context of the image but maybe that contrast was the intention. Good processing as always

I like the low key lighting in this and whateve you did to post process. The contrast makes this look dramtic. Well done (8).

You actually come across with a thinking feeling. Very nice capture. I really liked the low garage light effect and the lighting on the face.

ok so the GRUNGE in this is a big hint of who took it but i still like the coloring the only thing im not sure about is how you can't see the persons whole left side b/c of the shadowing.

This is a great shot. Very strong mood. The subjects legs make an interesting lead-in, and the tilt adds interest for me. Nicely done. 9.

For all of those who will comment "Too Dark," I say BRAVO for doing it. The hint of light on his face is awesome. I love deep thought provoking shots such as this. Way to go!!! 9
