After trying to do some avian photography of my own, I have realized that your white highlites were from the back lighting and not sharpening... My mistake. I still hope my link was of use.

The first thing I noticed was that the tail's a bit cut off, but then I keep looking and see the reflection in the dark water and notice the detail. I like this shot a lot. Nicely composed, nicely shot.

I like the way the swan fills the frame, but the noise and the oversharpening? are distractions. The reflection of the swan in the upper right is a very unique addition to the shot and one that I think adds a nice touch and interesting continous visual line throughout the image. Good shot overall.

love the reflection of the other swan, the border compliments the picture perfectly and the crisp detail on the wing is fantastic

I think this is a beautifully composed and captured shot. The main point of improvement to me would be the sharpening. It seems a bit over sharpened to me which has produced a white halo around the neck. I think that it may have also accented your digital noise commented on by kenskid. Have you seen the sharpening article linked in the forums?

I like the light, the border and the other goose's reflection...

...seems like some color noise though.

Great focus to get all the details of the feathers and the amazing colour of the beak. I like the reflection of the other swan and the bits of ice floating in the water as the swans break through the ice surface. It would have been nice to have the full tail feathers in the shot.

The boreder is awsome and really goes with the picture. There is a little noise in the photo, which could be reduced with PS. I dont know if you have that but it will help. Also I would have cloned out the reflection of the other duck.
