Thank you for all the helpful and friendly comments on my image. I'm just pleased to be in the top half, percentile-wise. :)
I especially liked the comments from people who did this themselves as children. I did too -- but in our house, now, it's not really necessary. We're homeschoolers, and as such we generally don't have a set waking-up time (well, Dad does, as he has to get to work, but the kids don't) and thus both our kids are allowed to read as late as they want at night without having to hide under the covers. My son was happy to pretend he was breaking a rule in order to be my model for this challenge, however. :) |

| Looking through all the submissions this one caught my attention first and then kind of just would not let go. Technically I suppose many different opinions could be raised. I think what does it for me are the eyes and the rest of the facial expression. |

| This reminds me of when I was a kid....I used to do this exact same thing....read secretly at night with the flashlight. It's charming to see this today in a world of Gameboys and 24/7 cable TV. |
