Interesting composition! It looks over-sharpened to me though, and the "halo" between the horizon and the sky is very "unnatural" looking. Otherwise, nicely done. |

Interesting use of subjects. Old volcanic cylinder standing up and a hay cylinder laying down. Close to Virginia border? |

Like this, very simple, yet effective, the cloud formations are fantastic, especially with the sepia tones! |

This is a textbook shot. I was wondering when it would pop up. Fortunately, I don't think textbook shots are bad. In fact, I think using that term means the shot is done how the shot SHOULD be done. Great shot. |

Great composition. I think this is the first upclose hay shot I've seen. Very moody shot. |

The skyline is oversharpened for my taste |

Beautiful shot and composition... the clouds in the sky are fantastic, and the sepia tone works very well. The one nit I have to pick, however, is that the edge of the hill in the background seems a bit oversharpened, creating a distraction. |

Nice scene. The composition could be improved by having the bale off-center and perhaps a little further away, so it wouldn't dominate the scene so much. Your use of texture is good!

The sky does not look its from the same photo, especially with a halo around the mountains! |

Lovely shot! I love the toning here, the sepia really suits the scene. Very sharp, but I think that it enhances the shot. GL The sky is fantastic! |

This is a very good idea for a country photo. I would have not centered the haybale though, and maybe I would have taken this in landscape format instead of in portrait. Somehow it seems a little squeezed in like this. The quality of the image is very good though - 8. |

Ack you over-did the sepia I think. And there is a HUGE "halo" between the mountain and sky. :( |

In the background it looks like there is a white line between the mountains and the sky. is that from over-sharpening or sharpening edges?
Otherwise, I like it. Good texture in the hay and the grass. |

The line separating the sky and the ground is a bit distracting...Would have liked to see this one in color. |
