A shame.... This is many times better than some of the others that scored higher... Keep up the good work Glen and you'll be rewarded! |

Glen - you're brave to tell it like it is. I didn't rate this that high personally, but I see why you entered it and why it does have merit. The colors are rich and vivid and it's a street setting that all of us can relate to. Keep doing what you do. Being true to yourself is better than most scores anyway!!! |

Heh.. of course, you're right, mk.
At least, in terms of DPC. I personally think the background is what makes this photo. It's a pure candid, and it's supposed to be.
Ah well, I was only making do with what I had shot in November, and it's not likely I'll enter anything stunning when all I shoot in an entire month is 6 lousy little creek waterfalls and one parade.
Looking at the top 10.. I'm more proud of this shot than ever.. because I continue to stick to my own personal principles, even in the face of disastrous scoring. I don't know if I can ever happily be a part of the kind of crowd that loves the shots that won ribbons in this challenge. |

You can kick me in the butt later but this isn't one of my favorites of yours. The post processing adds a nice feeling but the background, especially the girl in the pink jacket, is rather distracting. I feel like maybe he's turned a bit too far away from the camera or maybe *is* just too far away for the pose he has. But I still love you. |

I bet your getting voted down for this because he's not facing the camera like in a portrait, but I like the candidness of it and the processing and dof rocks. |
