| nice shot, and nice shadows. might have benefited from a higher aperture, as the leaves look a little out of focus as they come closer to the lens. i'm also not sure i like how the right edge is cropped off of the leaves. overall, though, a nice shot. |

| Nice color and composition. I would have liked it better without the structure of the background being visible though. I tried several white backgrounds myself for shots like this and found that high-quality ultra-white inktjet-paper works very good. |

| Even though the challenge was "shadows" I would like to have seen a little better focus on the flower-But because of the rare nature of the purple cast within the shadow I still gave you a 10. Nice shot. |

Very nice colored shadows, really nice. The cloth background adds texture, interest and additional (smallll) shadows, very, very nice.

| Colors in the shadow are outstanding. I don't do flowers myself but love most of the ones I have seen on this site. |

| Absolutely beautiful. The puple shadows are very impressive, and I love the way the photo is composed so that it's as though there's only one flower, but half is real, half is shadow. Another one for my 10s. |

| Why do I like this flower? Shadows that are something other than dull grey, that's what it is! Would it have been possible to retain the texture of the cloth in the highlights? |

| I love this flower and it casts a nice color to the the shadow. I do wish the background were a smooth solid though. I think that the pattern of the material detracts slightly from the elegance of the flower. |

Flowers are not usually my favorite but this is beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope you tell us how you achieved the backlighting, frontlighting AND the purple shadow. This is really an interesting photo. Absolutely perfect! |

| Great idea! I love it. Textures are great. I would have liked to see the center of the flower just a little bit. Maybe some lighting on the foreground would have helped shadow definition and gotten rid of the dark corner. Also wish the whole flower was in the picture. |
