 The idea for this photo was born when I noticed how the light from a particular square-shaded lamp fell on the wall in my family room. I knew I wanted an angle of shadow like that, and so I looked around, trying to think of something that would be somewhat interesting to photograph... saw the teapot, and thought "eh, that'll do, pig." I added the leaves for more visual "interest" and because of the autumnal coloring of the wall, table & teapot.

I'm submitting this even though I'm not extremely proud or impressed by it. But I like the warm tones and it's *almost* what I envisioned, so here goes nothing.

I tried to minimize the bright highlights on the teapot, using paper to filter the light & by placing the lamp further away from the subject, but then I lost the line of shadow, so I went with it. Thanks for reading this mess.
