fails to meet challenge. 1

Despite the fact that there are multiple light sources in this photo, including one that is not artificial; you have still met the challenge beautifully with the one (I am assuming) artificial one that matters.

not quite a single light source. Very nice photo

The sun is not an artificial light source! (even if you did use fill flash)

If I am not mistaken the challenge is for a single artificial light source...the sun hardly counts as artificial. In any case the composition is terrible...there is no reason to have the leaves in the foreground lit by a flash...if you cut off the leaves you have a decent sunset image...but again...that wasn't the challenge...

The flash has overexposed the jasmine, and it needs to be the focus of the picture, plus there is more than one light source.

Nice contrasting of foreground/background with light.

Does unfortunately not fit challenge very well,
due to additional sunset-light.

Your actual subject is a bit over exposed, and kind of secondary to the lanscape. I think you stetched single light source a bit.

Use a single, artificial light source to dramatically light the subject of your choice.
I'm sorry, but I must consider the sunset as a second source.
If it is a plant in front of a poster, forgive me.

Not a single source. Flash lighting on jasmine isn't appealing...3

Ok, I am going to tell you what I have been told...sun isn't considered a artificial light...but I do understand what you are trying to portray...
11/16/2005 01:00:20 PM
More than one source of artificial light and one big source that is not artificial.
11/16/2005 11:09:33 AM
a little too bright... and i can't tell which one you want to make the subject....

pretty borng picture. landscape, i was expecting a lot of these. other wise good use of light on the plant

Very picturesque but looks like a couple of light sources were used, the flash and sunrise light. You'll probably get some comments on that.

Nice idea, but foreground/background contrast seems a bit to much - maybe reduce the flash by a stop?

where is artificial light
