For some reason I cannot access my PM's for answering, so I will use this forum. From email it keeps telling me to login, when I have. From the site, I don't see a link. Sometimes it works by email and sometimes not for some reason. Anyway, I have taken another look at your photo. The grass, only at the base is in focus. The tips of the grass to the tree on the right to the sky is all in blurriness. It looks like a shot taken at dusk, and not with the artificial light source of a flash, but of the sun. I like to see artificial light sources actually used in the photo for this challenge. Otherwise it just becomes a free study, IMO. A lot of photos failed the challenge in my eyes due to that fact. In any case, I will not be reaccessing due to just not finding this an appealing photo for this challenge.

Use a single, artificial light source to dramatically light the subject of your choice.

nice idea, but I think using the sun as a single light source wasn't the best idea. Try messing around with using flash lights, candles, things of that nature. give ya a 5!

Thanks for the email. I was wondering if you used a flash, but couldn't tell for sure. I've changed my vote.

I'm sorry, but I have to say this is grass in a field with the sun lite sky in the background. (2 scources) If its grass infront of a picture, you're too good for your own sake.

I like the eerie quality to this. Makes me think of being out very early morning. It looks very lonely. Very nice.

Nice shot but not sure it meets the challenge of an "artificial" light source. I think you will take some hits on that.

more than one light source in the photo, and the sun is not an artificial light source...

I think that the challenge specifically stated "single, artificial light source"... oh well. It does seem like the light comes from your direction on the grass, so that would be a stretch to fit. However, the subject is still not dramatic for high score.

The source of light, by definition of the challenge is supposed to be artificial. Hmmmm - the sun is natural.
