I went hiking yesterday and was shooting just for fun. I had given up on the triptich thing because I just couldn't seem to get it quite right. Then I practiced one more time on this shot I took today, and all of a sudden it clicked, and I got it.

Stunning capture. I can't believe the detail, tones, and textures you captured. The triptych aspect I could take or leave, but there's no denying that the shot is fabulous! Great job.

This is an excellent photo with quite a feel to it. The plant just seems to be reaching right through the frames/screen. Great clarity, excellent DoF, good colors! Well done!

Sandy, Congratulations on this shot. The more I look at it the more I like it. I like the softness and wonderful color. The greens and purples are very harmonious. You've turned a very simple subject into a work of art. ^^^^^^^^^^

I love the subtlty of this. Reminds me of a hand colored print. Very nice lighting and colors.

I think this is one very, very beautiful image. It's so nice that I think triptych doesn't do it justice. In my opinion, it would be much nicer as a standalone image - but keep the wonderful outer frame! The subtle violets with the green are clear and perfect.

The Triptych effect on this image IMO lets each frame tell a different story, and fits the challenge well, the colors and background work well together, composition good...10

I have to admit, I'm torn on this one. I think that as one photo, it would be lacking a little in the "wow" factor. While splitting it up does give it more impact, I'm just not sure if I like it. :-) I've come back to your shot many times over the last couple of days and it has grown on me a bit. Good Luck.

Don't think that the layout helps the picture.

Really beautiful image. Fantastic coloring. Might not be the best image for a tryp but is very appealing overall.

Really gives the feel of those dark gloomy late fall days. Great blurred background, and also the soft blur on bottom branches Hope to see it in the top three

I would love to have this photo hanging up in my kitchen. I want to reach out and pick a berry. You have a cool 3 D effect going on. Fantastic depth of field. Window to Blue is an excellent title, it is just like looking out of the window. The triptych really works well here. This photo rocks, 10

the colours seem to be strange, but the comp and division is very good.

The berries and greens are popping out of my screen! Wow, that's crisp! Great job.

How does the division of your picture into three frames enhance the photo? How does this "tell...a story or illustrates a concept or object" better than the original image?

Clean, sharo photo, just a bit dark, but the subject easily lends itself to a triptych.

I can't believe how 3 dimensional this photo looks. Very nicely done. Nice subdubed pleasing colors. 8

Lovely picture. Not sure if the triptych adds or detracts from this image. I love the picture itself though - great DOF, texture and rich colors.

6 - Very nice, focus and coloring are very good. Criticism; whilst no 'expert' in triptychs, to me, this would be better if the cuts/crops flowed 'smoothly' from panel to panel, either by a realignment or by a 'deletion' of that space - if that makes sense. In my opinion, this is one of the 'single split photos' that the separation/panelling/framing via triptych, has worked well and enhances the shot.

I know this meets the challenge, but I am not a big fan on just cutting up one nice shot into 3 with distracting borders. Seems too easy, no real creativity required.

Simply stunning. I love the simplicity and the subtle tones of the branches and berries. Beautiful framed effect with that slight glow before the black.

It's a beautiful picture, but I'm not sure that it really benefited from being put into the triptych format.
