The complimentary colors and the lighting on the mountains made for an outstanding shot. Congratulations on a top 10. |

I agree with Jutilda, this should have been a blue ribbon. It's a truely exceptional image. Congratulations on the top ten finish! |

this is a lovely composition but seems overprocessed...it could be my imagination after looking at a LOT of overprocessed/grungy shots. |

Your wonderful image is my pick for the best of the challenge. Beautifully saturated colors and classic composition. I really like your choice of the square format, which is a seldom used but highly effective communication tool for the presentation of landscapes. I'm pleased at your choice of a simple elegant border that allows us to get the most from your image, instead of adding a large gaudy border. My only negative would be the dust spot? near the top of the frame over the plant, but believe me I got over it quickly. Great work. |

This is a beautiful, artistic image. This is almost certainly not what you were intending, but I can't help seeing it as a Pink Floyd album cover. It has the same stark, simple yet deeply layered quality as the best of their music. 9. |

That is just amazing!!!! I love it on all levels. COmposition, color, texture, focus. WOW Only given out 3 10's and this is one of them!!!!
After reviewing all of the entries, this is still just so well done. I can look at it over and over and never tire of it. I hope it ribbons - it surely deserves to. |

Marvelous. Like the levels of color of the background, the detail on the tendrils and the composition. My only nit is the celestial body at the top. Not sure what is is supposed to be and it just pulls me away from the rest of the picture which I really enjoy. So...I scroll down a bit... and mystically it is gone and I am very happy with everything else I see. |

Very nice image! I love the rich colors. Great juxtaposition of bushes and sun. Only peeve I have is with the slight pink line between the hill and skyline - shows PS tampering. :-) <7> |

I like your composition on this shot, simple but effective. Pity there is no detail in the moon, that would have capped it off a treat. Good luck! |

Love the beautiful hues in this desert scene. The blues of the sky combined with the warm golds of the desert hills is captivating and beautiful to look upon. As added visual interest there is the cactus plantlife slightly off center in the foreground which adds to the composition. This is a place for quiet solitude. |

I really like this.. especially the way the clouds have blurred nicely in the long exposure. The colours are vibrant. On the whole, the picture feels a bit soft. I'd really like the hills to be crisp against the skyline.. |

8 - Very nice. Criticism; difficult, but perhaps that 'grass' in the fore in better focus/detail, or even just the color 'contrasted' more if possible, may have made this even better in my opinion, although I realize perhaps you'd lose the overall focus that you have obtained, which is very good. This also seems like it may need a slight nudge rotation up on the right, but difficult to tell and makes zero difference to my score anyway. Nice coloring and simple scene. The star effect works, but if it were perhaps a little more subtle, may have worked better in my opinion, not sure. |
