I am a sucker for light beams streaming out from the clouds. You were very fortunate to capture nature's show and with the beams falling upon these cows in the open field. All the elements are there for a spectacular shot - the composition, the subjects, and the enviroment. The lighting is the problem. The critique is that while there is a specatucular amount of light coming from above not enough has been shed upon the cows on this picture. The cows and the fields are underexposed such that the hues appear flat and too dark. Adjusting the shutter speed for a slower speed or opening the shutter to let more light in would have shed more light on the cows correctly exposed them - the tricky part would be is that it would cause a slight overexposure of the light streaming in the clouds such that you might loose those rays that are evident here. Finding the balance between the two is sometimes tricky but worthwhile.

My guess, friesland (Holland or north Germany) probably Holland because of the draw bridge. The light from the sky give the cow a very holly glow. Great job.

I couldn't help but think "got milk?" I have been brainwashed. I gave a 10 . 2 for each cow..and because it reminded me to pick up milk. : )

Hmm hmm, where could this be. The bridge loos familiar. Is this anywhere near Ransdorp, just North of Amsterdam? There is this kind of bridge where you can jump with your motorcycle on a very small road in the 'polderland'.

The contrast/light is a bit strange. While the view is nice to cows deserve more exposure attention. I like it how you positioned the bridge to contain what could be one of the two skyscrapers in Amsterdam.

Did you dodge those cows ? I imagine that in reality it must have been quite a view. On this shot it's so so. But a 6 is in order.

The sun is beautyfull. More contrast between the cows and the grass would have made an excellent Dutch landscape

Very nice picture - unique. Exposed a little too much for the light though, to the detriment shadows - the cows are almost non existent. Exposing towards middle gray would have made this a really cool picture.

The sky in this photo looks very nice! I wish that the cows and the landscape were a little lighter so I could see some more detail on them. I think the composition of this photo is pretty good!

This is a good case for a gradient filter on the camera, really needs more light on the cows.

I like the light through the perfect clouds: Beam the cow up, Scotty! Unfortunately the foreground appears too dark to me giving the impression of see-through cows (contrast is too low between green land and cow).

Very nice! The details in the sky are awesome, love the sun rays. I wish the ground and cows were a little brighter, but I really like the mood this sets.

A bit more of shadow detail on the foreground would have helped this very nice shot.

Nice capture of the sun rays. I think this would be even cooler if you has some way of lighting up the cows a little.

The cows appear as almost ghostlike. Kind of interesting. 7
