Wow what a beautiful night city shot. I've never been to Pittsburg but would love the see this in person sometime. I love the way the lines curve around in this angle. |

wow - this is sooo stunning - I love the lights popping out and all the colors, and the reflections, clarity of the buildings, smoothness of the water - I'm on the fence with it being considered true "landscape" - seems more like "cityscape" to me - I love the image though. Voting it a 6, would have voted higher had this been a "cityscape" or "urban landscape" challenge :) |

Someone did this same shot, only a day version. I definitely like the night scape better. |

Mmm, I've stood at this very point many a time to take this picture. None were as nice as this one. 10 Don't you like the blue of the Highmark builidng? That wasn't there a year ago. This actually looks a little further down. I'd always be across from the Moterey Bay Fish Grotto. 10 |

A city is not a landscape. Nonetheless, I really like the shot, especially the colors. |

This photo literally took my breath away. There are always lots of night scenes, but few of them are crystal clear sharp like this one. It is perfect. 10 |

Great shot. love the lights on the water with the river splitting. The only "con" is the building on the lower right. Crop that out and this would be a "9" for me. |

wow. This image is almost alive, with the colors and lights smeared/reflected in the water adn the vibrant colors of the building. I keep expecting to see the cars moving. |

7 - Very nice shot. Criticism; depending what is there on the left middle/fore, I wonder how this shot would have looked with the right cropped (cutting out that road(?)/bank and incorporating more of the left side of the frame. The colors are very nice and the reflection brilliant on the fairly calm water. |

Beautiful cityscape. I can't help but compare this to the almost identical day shot titled "An American City in November". Both have strong merits. This is a great location and capture. |

good shot from the west end. i always love how the lights reflect on the river, plus it looks like the fountain is on at the point, which is always awesome! |

Alan? Is that you? Night shots are always more dramatic than day shots. But then i only get to town every blue moon. I can try this on Nov 16 as i'll be here after dark. My luck there will be a power outage!
Anywho, very nice. The Gulf bulding top is a tad bright and the fountain could use more light. If only we could use advanced editing rules! |
