| It's a nice subject but the postioning could be better and with an added something to the background it would work great |

| Your lighting certainly gives the shoe some dimension and depth. The darker tones don't really add any emotional quality to the shot--only a bit of formality. Perhaps a different point of view would add some drama. |

| pretty good light, very boring subject. the boot could probably use a good shine to get more contrast and dynamics in the light. 5. |

| Good subject. The post processing really distracts - the black area around the bottom looks splotchy and there is this twirly thing to the right and center of the boot. |

This is a great shot, reminds me of my army days...perfect composition, the detail is great, lighting is nice...One of my favorites!

| Really like this shot, though it kind of made me laugh. I once did a shot with only one shoe in it, and had comments about wishing both shoes had been in the shot (I only HAD the one shoe!) Anyway - now I know what they were talking about. I really would like to see both boots! I love the way this was done - lighting is great and the composition works well for me, but it just doesn't seem natural to be only seeing 1 boot! |

| Great subject for challenge. Shame about the graininess, too many highlights on the boot for my taste. Otherwise, effective mood. 8 |

| Love the title. It sounds like a song title. Photo is good, just a little grainy. Looks like it was shot at too high a film speed? |
