| on my monitor you can see a mismatch between the border of this image on the left and bottom and the rest of the background. it's very distracting, but i will try not to judge your image on that. the image itself is very nice. i'm guessing it looks darker on your monitor, leaving just the side of the face highlighted, but i actually like it brighter with some of the bottom areas of hair and dark side of the face still having texture. it's a nice shot, and good control of lighting. maybe try to adjust your monitor a bit so you can see the mismatches in color you've added in your photo software. 7. |

| like your use of some colour in this challenge...... lighting is supurb..... I am seeing three lights used? or is it just two? main and hair lite? The disintegration of the pupil and iris of eye into shadow to me hurts the image a little. But I still like the portrait a lot. |

Except for the lighter colored black addition, this looks good. Actually it looks like my gf, really.

| I like the concept very much. Would like to have seen her eyes looking away from the camera, and also would have liked to have seen it in black and white. |
