This one is my favorite of all the shots in your portfolio. Since it's not too big yet, I looked at every single photo :) This one is composed perfectly, and the angle is very interesting. Plus, I just love how you can almost feel every little water drop on his adorable little mug. He looks so natural in front of the camera! I also think this one would give you your best score because even tho you have some awesome ones -- my 2nd favorite is your moon shot -- be forewarned: dpChallenge voters get quite picky about that "rule of thirds" thing, and normally dismiss pictures that are dead-on center with some pretty discouraging scores.
Can't wait to see more of your work, and look forward to seeing you in some challenges! GOOD LUCK. . . and Welcome to dpc :)

CalliopeKel--Thanks for your comments. Yes, I used the onboard flash, which is MILES ahead of the one I had on my Nikon 5700. The bathroom is quite bright, too, so I backed up a bit and zoomed in. I figured that wouldn't wash out his face in light, and it worked pretty well.
The Rebel is absolutely awesome--I love it. I feel like I've been driving a Toyota all my life, and now I'm sitting behind the wheel of a Porche! I made this shot in auto mode, but I've been messing with the manual settings, and will be using those features a lot too.
Anybody else want to comment? Thanks in advance. |

Congrats on the new rebel. You will love it. Keeps producing one amazing pic after another for me. Did you use the onboard flash on this shot? If you did, it wasn't overpowering.
Have you shot in Manual mode yet or you still playing with automatic settings? |
