This is my beautiful, cooperative and condescendent wife. She only agreed to this because I guaranteed she wouldn't "show", though. Also starred is my faithful old car...

Converted to BW, cropped, cloned out a few tire marks and a small boat in the distance, levels, added noise.

IMHO, it almost seems like adding more grain would add even more impact!
I like the concept and the composition works well save for just the bit of her head that breaks the horizon.

Your photo gives me a retro 1960s kind of feel. I think it's the woman's coat and car. Bumping up after second look.

I don't care for focus and contrast in this photo

I like: the composition is not too bad.
I don't like: the over-exposure of the sea; the dark shadows;

Good idea, but I feel that it would have been more powerful without the car, although I can see why it is there.

The exposure seems a bit strange somehow. I kinda like the grain in the sky above offsetting the grainy sand below.

Good subject for b&w. Good composition. IMHO one of the few that really meets the challenge. I just wish the highlights in the water weren't so blown out. I'm not sure that grain and blur adds much to the photo.

The birght light reflectiong off the water leaves the person very dark, which is fine if that is what is inteded. But there is nothing the persons silohuette that backs up you're lands end theme. Is the person dissappointed, in awe, or something else?
