Greetings from the Critique Club!
I hit that button and what do I get but a nico_blue original picture! WOW! :)
First off, let me say that anything I say here is strictly my opinion and based on my tastes. I'm not a professional critiquer nor do I play one on TV.
I love the composition of this shot. Instead of leading left to right you did the opposite and went right to left, which is perfect fine and works very well for this shot. The tracks leading me in and taking me right to EEK! THE DEAD END! Perfect!
Then we move on to the lighting of the shot. Very bright and looks very alive and vibrant from the lighting that came through in the post processing. I noticed that one of the comments said it looks like the trees are on fire, the color, the brightness. And it does but at the same time that bothers me just a bit. It's hard for me to look at it for very long because it is so bright. Almost need to find my shades so I can stare at it longer. And I want to stare at it longer because of the color and the compostion and the life that just screams out from this picture. Maybe if it was a larger size and not so in one little space it would be easier to look at for longer periods.
Well, I hope my comments help and Good luck in future challenges, yeah, like you need luck! You're too talented! :)

Beautiful shot!!
If you have Photoshop you can take even the largest file and ''Save to Web''
That way you can size it to your dimensions and you won't lose the quality.

7 - Good find for the Challenge. Criticism; like the rich colors but the 'dead end' seems to have become slightly lost in the contrast(?) effects, etc. |

I really like the processing on this image and the colors! IMHO, I might have cropped the top part of the tree a bit so the eyes focus on the railroad more... well done! |

I like the composition of this image and the texture of the tracks and branches--overall it feels a bit too saturated or color-shifted to me. |

I love the composition. The colors are a little too bright for my taste. |

What a wonderful imaginative photo. Old deserted RR tracks with an ultra modernistic feel to the overall image. Excellent - hope to see this in the top 3 |

The saturation seems a little overdone. I would have preferred to see more detail in the leaves and grass. The USM / sharpening artifacts are fairly obvious; if you sharpened before you resized then you may want to try resizing first.

very cool idea! -but the colors are almost a mesh & very overpowering. Since this is advanced editing, I might have selected out the top left yellow leaves & played around with selective color. |
