too much jpeg compression blocking in this shot and not enough color contrast.

I like how you captured the rays. It might help to increase the quality of the JPEG when you save it.
11/15/2005 10:57:00 AM
looks to be a bit overexposed
11/12/2005 08:40:17 PM
blurry photo

Nice shot but too pixelated... Perhaps something went awry in "optimizing" it for the web?
11/12/2005 05:56:14 AM
I can actually see the pixel block. Not good.
11/11/2005 09:09:14 AM
Your image is very pixelated, you need to work on saving a proper compression size.
11/10/2005 09:03:24 PM
Did you have a resizing problem? The pixels can be clearly seen which has made your shot very blured, although when I view the picture from a couple of feet away you can then see its beauty.

bad focus 4

I really like the sky in this photo! There seems to be some odd distortion going on...I can see small cube sections in the photo (perhaps from compression?) The light from the sun looks really nice in the clouds. I might crop out the bit of land at the bottom of the photo and focus more on the horizon in the background.

What a shame, as a landscape with such a wonderful light it is great, but the picture quality is very bad, very pixelated.
11/10/2005 07:45:30 AM
Resolution too low.
11/10/2005 07:13:14 AM
a little too grainy in my opinion, the pixels seem very obvious like it was zoomed in or out too far, very pretty view though and meets the challenge :)
11/10/2005 02:15:24 AM
very low resolution... not sure if you were going for an effect
11/09/2005 11:57:14 PM
Seems like you have pixelated this one?
11/09/2005 01:43:33 PM
This image appears posterized, l see large blocks in areas that should be blended.
Your use of lines is good, the beach in the foreground works very well, so your sense of compostion is good. Its just the techinical aspects that hurt.
11/09/2005 01:02:36 PM
Unfortunately, your photo is very pixelated on my monitor. Also, I find the sun flares distracting and the colors seem to be a bit on the magenta side. Keep trying though, and double check your resolution (and your entry view) when entering.
11/09/2005 12:38:53 PM
Try to preserve more detail in your photograph. I can count the tiles of image information (especially low left and up right).
11/09/2005 12:18:58 PM
A file as big as 8k can't be better, Too bad. next time use the allowed limit.
11/09/2005 10:28:30 AM
would be nicer if it werent grainy
11/09/2005 10:14:02 AM
Something wrong with the photo - it is almost covered with artifacts. Failed with resizing?
11/09/2005 07:39:52 AM
good view ... looks like it was taken on a phone camera
11/09/2005 06:30:08 AM
You might want to read up on how to compress .jpgs a little more to your advantage. This shot is only 8K (you can submit up to 150K)... and the blotchy artifacts are very visible here. I'll be glad to help if you want some assistance...
11/09/2005 02:07:50 AM
there is something majorly wrong with the whole image here. i dont know what to even call it..is it some type of filter you added?
11/08/2005 07:54:21 PM
HORRIBLY PIXELATED
