| oooh, I like this shot. I have benn shooting jockeys for 4 years now in NYC. I have no real interest in the horses, just the jocks, I think they are so phenomenal. The only thing I want here is a LOOK!!!!! they have such amazing faces. but composition and colors are really great... |

I don't get the impression of a dead end.
Great color, comp needs work, b&w good, lighting flat, angle not interesting, alot of distracting elements. |

| For me, this is a bit of a long stretch (pun intended) for a dead end entry, but I like their colors and how they're sitting on the ledge. I also wonder how this would look if you cropped up from the bottom past the pipes on the wall? Since the jockeys are on a horizontal ledge, a horizontal photo might work better for the viewer. |

| I really like the composition of this image with the 'window' ... and the top and right end side help frame the photo but IMHO, I might have cropped the bottom 'ground' part to make the photo less anchored and more puzzling? just a thought... |

This is a really modern photograph. The saturation lends it something of the feel of a Martin Parr shot, as does the off-beat composition. I happen to see it, as I write, cropped on-screen below the blue wall-section, and wonder if tthat isn't a stronger presentation of the scene - basically, i'm asking if the brightness of that blue hasn't seduced your eye somewhat? Nevertheless, it's certainly tthe strongest image i've seen in this challenge.
Every element of frame has become important, which i like. There's such strong and simple oranisation here, that even that collection of pipes becomes a fascinatingly different artefact. That process of making the ordinary extraordinary is one of good photography's greatest strengths - and this re-inforcement of the idea that the simply observed moments of real life can outweigh in significance even the the most carefully set-up and processed pose. One could not produce this out of one's imagination and a couple of willing models, and therefore it's the stronger for it - and the more so at dpc. Lovely work |

| WHAT does this have to do with "Dead End"? Nice picture but IMO, does not meet the challenge. |
