some friends skating after a hurricane, thats all those leaves you see. used sigma off camera flash, thats responsible for the stopping of the motion, not really the shutter speed which was only 1/250. shot at 37mm. hm, more reasons for me to buy that 35 f/2 lens haha.

Post processing:
auto levels
brightness contrast
saturation
resize
sharpen.

I have a better version, although it uses layers, selective high pass sharpening and burning in a better sky. whatever.

man u have your lighting set up pretty well, but yuck angle sorry man! Shoot a long lens 50 mm or more, if you can't see really where the skater is coming from or landing that's a bummer.

Really check out skateboardphotography.com I swear it'll help a lot.

Gah, I bet you look at this shot now and wish that bike wasn't in the frame? Nice capture.

Good use of lines, those steps don't look safe though.

Very nice shot. I just have one minor complaint that is keeing me from giving you that extra point.

The line that is going through his head in the BG.

Excellent lighting, excellent colors, great capture, B&W good, great emotion, nice texture, overall a very great attempt.

nicely done freeze frame, the light in the background on left side and the amount of debris on stairs slightly distract IMO, otherwise very good shot

Nice composition. I like the skater's expression. The simplicity of this works with minimal background. The stairs are a nice addition as is the bike.
