the lighting here is the one the makes this image powerful...you hit a high mark...bold idea and excellent composition...good luck.

If not for the bulge in the shoulder, this would be perfect. I love the lines in the background.

Nice drama in this with good lighting. The top of your head has a strange softness which I can't quite work out though.

i went from a 5 to a seven to a six in the three times I've looked at this. I finally figured out that it's the rigid background lines vs. the rounded human lines of the silhouette that throw me off. love the backlit concept, but the lines throw the balance off. great idea either way.

Bold, ambitious!

The bold silhouette against the two (three?) converging/intersecting planes lends this shot a wonderful and luminous spatial quality. The treatment of the shadow (left and top) seems to vary significantly in the way it either 'steps' down (left bottom) and fades into the white in a much finer and more subtle manner and tonality (top and top right). The reasons for this remain ambiguous to me.

All in all, not your 'average' photograph. Thanks for having given me something to look at I don't see every day. Love the range and depth from flat to sublte detail and depth particularly.

Interesting concept for a self-portrait. I like the lighting in the background --- can't judge the portrait lighting, though.

No detail. Interesting but not really a portrait.

Very nice composition. I love the contrast of sharp lines and curves and the nebulosity in the lower left corner. Deserves to be in the top running.

"Hi, my name is Roger. I'm an ex convict. I'm here to talk about the gang in which I used to be... I must remain anonymous." . lol. Just kidding. Nice artwork!
