Hello Michael, nice to meet you. This portrait doesn't make me feel that it's the kind Michael i know somewhat. Think the lighting has something to do with that.

Feels like the hat is cut off too much, needs to be cropped higher.

Whew, you really need to adjust the color (Levels) and the contrast in this shot. The railing in the background is a little distracting also.

Hello,
Halfway up the stairs? Strange location. Makes me think, does this have any meaning? I not particularly fond of the yellow cast here. Maybe if your Camera has some kind of white balance to compensate for the type of lighting. I also would have like to have seen the highlighted part of your face a little brighter The cropping is good..

I think a portrait should reveal some character, or emotion of the model, by showing expression in eyes or other facial features. Did your picture accomplish that? Yes, it sure did.

Lighting:pretty good....just a bit lighter or brighter would improve it.

Exposure:good

Focus:good

Creativity:the hat adds a little fun here.

Composition:good....eyes in the upper third

Background: Would be better without the bar to your right.
