Out of every great photo in this challenge, this is the one that immediately struck me as wholly perfect. The texture of your skin is apparent, yet it has such a soft quality. A great deal of emotion is expressed through your hands. The feeling I get is of despair, yet hope. Exceptionally done, in my opinion. Cheers!

Excellent lighting, subject and crop/framing. I think it's great how the ear is showing...I find a lot of times, people that take single light source portraits hide too much of the face. I give you an 8.

Very dramatic! I'd crop up from the bottom a bit, to make it more centered, but that's just my preference.

Powerful and evocative. This photo could be so many different things... covering your face with joy, depression, weariness, even calling out to someone. It's wonderful.

Good lighting and focus. But I don't see the need for that much space at the bottom - probably could have cropped a little out.

Wish we could see your face. I think this photo would take the cake in the Black on Black challenge. So, I hope you took extras. :) I really hope to see one of these in that challenge as well. Excellent use of lighting, focus and angle. I like this shot a lot, just wish we could see that smile. :)

I really like this type of portraiture. Well framed & conceived. Two things bug me: 1) The photo seems "soft" to me somehow. Maybe the focus? The lighting?
2) I'd prefer the bottom left be completely black.
