Creamy white glass flower shot on white mat board.

Cropped, adjusted levels, dodged mat, cloned out dirt, adjusted saturation, applied neatimage to smooth out noise on flower, added thin borders.

For me, the white is overblown a bit and although the rose is made of glass, I don't get the same transparency sense from your photo as I do from other entries. I do like the composition though.

if this is actually transparent, I really can't tell - maybe putting it on a differently colored background, like red, would have made it clearer

Dang! Another light on white flashback. I'm not sure I catch the transparency here as the pic is too processed.

pretty composition, but with the white on white it's hard to see any transparancy. i wonder how this would have looked with a different colored background to better emphasize the flower's transparent properties?
