Thank you all for the comments. This was one of those goofy "no thought" shots that just seemed to pop. Yes, I plan to put it up on DCPrints as soon as I have a spare moment to do it right.

Great shot. Are you going to make this one available in DPCPrints? I have some racing enthusiast friends who would love it. |

Very cool, your eye goes right off into turn 4. It would have been awsome if there were no people in the stands, but great composition |

I was hoping you'd get a ribbon for this ... congrats! :) |

Congrats on the ribbon! Truely a fine shot. I see that you only performed an autolevel on this pic... if you look into doing it as a print you may want to consider a slight curves adjustment as well. It would really punch up the color and increase the contrast a tad. |

This is just sweet. The whole photo seems to be askew, making it one of my top picks for this challenge. |

This is pretty fabulous access - and a good perspective shot. Did they think you were weird? 10. |

Very cool shot. Only thing that would make it better, is a car on the track. That might be impossible or at least dangerous. It was very effective to tilt the camera to increase the dramatic effect. |

Probably not the clearest interpretation of the challenge, but my favourite shot of the bunch anyway. Superb viewpoint and great composition. |

great shot, but i am n ot sure what is off center, my eye is drawn to the squares on the track, not the stands which i think is the off-center part of this picture? |

Excellent job here! Your composition is superb, creating an abstract quality. A straight-forward shot wouldn't have been nearly as succesful. Commendable!!! |

Nice work. I like the effect the focus gives here, though an even more indistinct background would also work. The image has the effect of anticipation, as if the cars are about to come tearing around the bend. - Mav |

One of the most creative shots of this week's challenge, I think. Fabulous use of wide-angle to add depth to an image, and the tilt is just right to make this really catch your eye and fit in with the challenge. Wonderful! 10 |

Your title gives the finish line the focus, but my eyes are taken down the track, so there may be some clarity problems here in terms of what your subject actually is. Still, this is such a well done photo that I hardly care if the title gives me a little nudge toward the finish line. Nice work. VERY nice work. |

I love the angle! You meet the challenge and you take an everyday place and show it from a totally unusual angle. The finish line adds great interest in the foreground and from there the eyes just wander along the converging lines through the whole photo. Awesome. Makes me feel I'm standing at the start and I'm ready to race. |

Exciting shot! Marvellous emptiness!
Composition, perspective, colour and light (the fading tonality toward the distance) are so smoothly integrated. The first and overall impression, to me, is one of an 'easy, casual' shot premissing a fair degree of skill and a very good eye. |
