if i had the expertice to critique this i would give it raves for color-i like the way the picture is centered-i like that the model and toilet are in very good focus-the lines and borders show me that this is indead a toilet not one found at a truckstop persay but a exquisite toilet that is so clean i might eat my ham sandwich even it dropped in that toilet.this photo made me cry and laugh all at once-the image consumed my emotions and touched my heart-thanks for a wonderful view and i mean this with all my heart. |

I feel more focus on the bowl itself, or maybe the spew, may have added to the impact of this reguritory photograph. The action, while being dynamic, is secondary due to the focus is on the Slippy.
A title along the lines of "Milk: It just doesn't mix with vodka" or some such may have pushed this image into ribbon range.
While I do enjoy the spew that has missed th bowl, I feel that the photo itself would be helped if the missed spew were cloned (obviously not viable during for the challenge). Also there are some areas of spew that appear blown out, these though are not as distracting as the spew itself.
Note: I am viewing this image on my macloptop monitor so it may or may not be optimal. Hopefully Canadian spew isn't degraded when viewed on a McScreen. |

This is certainly a visceral image. My prior review may have been a 'gut ' response.
In looking at an image like this the viewer is forced to seek a deeper meaning to the imagery. Symbolism becomes an important aspect of this type of work, the stronger the ideological component, the more effective the piece. In a way iconoclastic art is a lot like humor, sometimes a joke works and sometimes it doesn't.
All that doesn't mean I think your picture is any better, because for me the symbolism isn't there. Hopefully it may give you insight into improving you art.
(Thanks for making me look at this again.) |

This is actually quite refreshingly eccentric and funny! Not bad at all. It reminds me of those art exhibits I saw once at the Modern Tate in London ;) Most ecclectic and fascinating. Anyway I had a ball!Don't think you should feel bad about the low score 'coz I think DPC challenge works well on stuff that has mass appeal. But it doesn't mean that those that don't, have no appeal - just probably skewed to a niche audience. My only gripe here would be the way the face is positioned. I have a preference for it being placed diagonally across the top right corner than straight up but then, who knows for sure unless you try the shot again. |

Very funny photo, hard to tell if you're just being funny or if you're being funny and taking the photography part of it seriously. Anyways I find this photo definately lacking...definately lacking in chunks. Shouldn't there be chunks in the projectile. But seriously how come you didn't shoot the toilet in profile for a more realistic looking photo? Vomiting is very unpleasant, maybe a darker exposure would be more fitting to convey that. |

Heh, I just watched Team America a couple weeks ago on the movie network. My brother-in-law said they must've cut some scenes in the theatre version (a couple of parts in the sex scene RE urine & feces). I was in pain! Been decades since I saw A Clockwork Orange. |

Well, you win the disgusting factor...nice...real nice. I haven't been here on DPC long, but when I saw this, one member's name popped instantly into my head, and I wonder if I'm right... |
