| Thanks for all the time spent on commenting on this image. It was shot on board a flight from Kunming to Beijing, China (Beijing was finally taken off the watchful list of WHO on 25 June). Yes, all air hostess were masked, but not all passengers wore them on this flight. (Most wore masks in April when the epidemic reached its height). This was a simple self-portrait shot, no prior arrangement or anything. Kind of lucky however that one of the air-hostess was working behind me then, and her appearance helped add some flavour to this otherwise a very bland image. But as one comment has it that this being " a story in one picture ", and for this point alone, I thought the picture did after all carry some value! :-) |

| i think this photo is really great. it looks like it could be in a magazine article about SARS. i like how its not a straight on shot and the head is looking out the window. the flight attendant in the back adds to the photo as well. |

Hello,
Interesting Picture Idea. Do they actually wear these masks on the plane?
The first time I looked at this one i thought it was very blurry, but it doesn't seems so right now. Maybe it's my lack of sleep. But any way the photo seems to be missing some Wow factor. A lot of the bottom is just a black void, and the reflections on your glasses is a little distracting. But Kudos for being able to take your Selfportrait in such a public place. |
