 i know for real that the back ground is white in this challenge. But i took this picture while the background is black. I use all my experiouns on this photo and i hope that you will enjoy it.

Not a bad image, but it seems (to me) to miss the spirit of this contest... I could maybe see an argument for why it would be submitted (sun _light_ on _white_ (ish) moon surface), but even if one buys that, it seems contrary to the spirit.

(I'd also like to see the moon off-set more, probably in the upper-right quadrant.)

Your kidding, right? Sorry for the sarcasm, but I was looking for a light object on a white background. Perhaps reversing the colors would have been cool here.

Very nice shot. I think it might be better suited for a different challenge, though. Also, I think the composition might be a bit better if you moved the moon off to one of the sides of the photo - not in the center.

challenge instructions quote "Take a photo in which the background is white..."... seems clear enough... sorry score of 1, doesn't meet challenge

Light On White, I not sure you have the idea here, but it is a good astronomical shot. So many people have the idea you can get a good image of the full, but if you think about it its just like 'good' light on earth, you don't get it at noon. Its much better to shoot half moon and paste them together.

At first I was like no, but yes, this does depict "Light" on a "White" object. So a litle different interpretation and it'll most like hurt your score...but good endeavor

Interesting picture. I think it would be more powerful if it wasn't dead center and the moon just a tad brighter. I do like the way you picked up on the craters and slight color variations on it. Very nice there.

It may be my monitor, but I don't see neither light nor white .. But it is still an above average shot anyway ..
