This image belongs in the top ten. It is an outstanding effort with a mood that moves the viewer. Yes, many voters avoid the dark rendition but this is their loss.

Great sky. The crop is excellent, showing just enough of the boat to add impact. Nice job. The only thing is it seemed a little dark to me, but it may have gotten muddy if you lightened it up anymore. Hard to say.

this is a great shot well framed, but the burning in the sky is very aparent...also as far as the older photo look goes u did well, but i think as with many shots in this challenge the grain level is just higher than it could really ever be or should be....its just foggy with grain, takes away from the image more than adds a key helping element

My favorite image for this challenge. The grain really makes it feel like a dark and dreary day. Would expect to see whitecaps on the water even.
