Thanks for all the comments. I did expect that a lot of voters would miss the idea. However, I did not expect that many of you. Anyway, I think some dictionary definitions, as posted by (who?) in the forum would help to see "the shadow." Cheers.
An imperfect imitation or copy.
A mirrored image or reflection.
A phantom; a ghost.
One, such as a detective or spy, that follows or trails another.
A constant companion.
A faint indication; a foreshadowing.
To represent vaguely, mysteriously, or prophetically.
To change by gradual degrees.

what shadow? down in the lower corner? I'm seeing double vision. is that supposed to be your shadow? Doesn't work for me. |

I feel the challenge this week should be the shadow as the subject of the picture. |

I hope you were going for an interpretation of the challenge, I think. I can appreciate that, but this is still pushing my flexability a bit too far. The double image could be said to be "a shadow of herself", but the challenge intent was around lighting, not philosophy. See the back of the ladies arm? That's shadow and that's what I am going to score you against. Photo 5 Creativity 7 (it's creative, but outside the challenge) Shadows 2 Total 4 |

This is a lovely image. What seemed to be a reflection actually appears to be a double exposure. I understand how this can be an interpretation of a shadow... in a ghostly sense. I think the low contrast works with that (I'm sure some people will say this is grey and grey rather than black and white) |

This is more of a 'ghost' than a shadow but I like the way this photograph was executed... There is a little grain in the photo that may not be necessary but, overall, this photo works for me :) I would almost rather see this shot in a vertical crop completely removing the white portion of the wall in this photo. Good work! |

The shadows are not as evident here as I would like them to be. |

s'not really a shadow... more of a double/duplicate. |

This looks more like a reflection than a shadow. |

Interesting take on the theme of this challenge. I certainly wouldn't have thought of this! |
