Challenge: Self-Portrait Revisited (Classic Editing)
Camera: Sony DSC-P72
Location: My Bathroom
Date: Jun 11, 2003
Aperture: F 2.83

Shutter: 1/40

I'm going on vacation tomorrow, and probably won't have access to a computer, but I did want to submit to this challenge. The result is thato this shot isn't too creative, is rushed, and isn't my best self portrait.
I wouldn't be suprised if it didn't do too well.

nice comp but slightly out of focus. (although one of the most focused shots I have seen in the last 20!!!)

Nice eyes. The lighting on your nose is a little harsh though. Also, I find the ring of hair to the left of the photo to be a bit distracting. I'm not sure about the crop. I don't think it should go right through your mouth. i'm wondering if showing your mouth would have been better? Either that or cropping closer to your eyes. The shadows are also a little distracting. I like the closeness though. Nice to meet you. ~Heather~

Good clarity, especially in your eyes.

I like the intensity, but the DOF doesn't work for me -- would like to see the nose in focus as well.

I wish that shadow weren't there (on the nose or the wall.. because I like this shot otherwise. It does capture your eyes well indeed.

nice eyes, but the shadow created by the nose is too distracting

And the eyes have it...and what beautiful eyes they are ! Very nice photo and I like the crop, but one gripe here. Even though I like the shadow in the background, I would have preferred there not be such harsh lighiting on your left cheek and nose as I would like to have seen you bring out the texture in your beautiful skin as you have in your right cheek. You could have done that and maintained the shadow by increasing the distance of the lamp from your face. Overall, well done.

I like the photo, I just don't feel the title is apropos, not that I would deduct for something like that. B&w is a good choice here.
