The shot was taken from ouside the Victoria Palace(Kolkata), a landmark identified by the rotating fairy on the top. It is named after Queen Victoria who once ruled India during the British Rule. This historical building still tells the tale of the Empire.

too many complains regarding the reflection...so just thought to post this...
the palace closes at 6 pm...no one allowed inside after that...so had to shoot it from outside...the boundary wall is what guards the rest of the reflection...i circled all around the boundary of the monument to select the perfect spot...would have loved to, but couldnt get any better angle

Hello Abhishek,

This is a very nice image. I really like the colors and the way you have captured the grandiosity of this structure. I, too, would like to have seen more of the reflection - maybe by having moved a bit left and closer to the water to minimize the edge of the pool. Doing so would have given the picture more up/down symmetry, adding interest and impact. Great photograph, in its own right, though. Keep up the good work! :)

the building feels more the focus of the photo than your reflection. also, i wish i could see more of thre reflection for this challenge.

Love the colors. I also like the perspective shown in the photo, more interesting, and makes the reflection more at an angle, making it more interesting- to me anyway. Nice job. :)
