This picture was taking one foot away from a bursting pinata! My daugter is the princess waiting for the candy and toys to fall... May not be the greatest shot, but the 10mm allowed it!

Greetings from the Critique Club

What a cute picture of lots of little kids enjoying themselves. It'll be a welcome addition to the family scrapbook for sure.

You caught the candy falling and the anticipation of the children well. The wide-angle lens can be difficult to work with and you might take it out and really work with it a lot to see just what you can do with it. In this instance, you might try getting really close to the ground and shooting up. YOu'll still get the kids - and you will make them bigger and more important - and you might have a better chance at that pinata. (I have the 10-22mm lens and know how frustrating it can be with a close-up)

My advise here is to just keep shooting and practicing. You have a good eye.

I notice you are new to DPC. You are in for a super experience and will learn lots here. Welcome to the Club! I'll look forward to seeing more of your work.

I think this is a great fun shot well-captured. Perhaps could have been better in composition or other details to improve the art form of photography but sometime, the situation may not permit it. The important thing is that you caught the mood of the group and that is the essence of this photo.

Wide angle doesn't mean creating a mish mash of an image. The hands are really in a way of seeing some of the expressions in the faces of people around. Perhaps better timing of your shot and better composition would have made this into otherwise memorable picture.

I admire you. I've tried doing this, and it has always been futile.

A good crowd shot. You've captured and brought attention to the girl well, how when everyone is clambering for candy, she is going against the group and looking up at something else. Makes me want to know what it is that has grabbed her attention when there is all that candy to be had :-) Well done.
