After watching the film "War of the Worlds" with some friends, we decided to go and take a look at the Bayonne Bridge which was the same one destroyed by aliens in the film. What a perfect oppurtunity to take a photo of a bridge I been dying to add to my collection. Built in 1931, it won an award for best steel arch designed bridge in the world.

Post edit: Levels, unsharm mask, contrast raised. I know im gonna get killed for that tree, but I had no choice. my only vantage point was on top of this mountain of gravel ! and cropping was limited in this challenge so I had to avoid a few trucks and a chain link fence.

You have a real knack for these night shots. The colors and gradients are so rich.

Just beautiful! As someone who has taken his share of bridge shots, I just love this one. Excellent colors and sharpness. A 10 in my book!

Fantastic. Love the angle of this shot and the way the sky changes in hues.

The different collored starshaped lights work well here.

Beautiful sky. Nice night shot. I am partial to that kind of star glow and it looks lovely here. The slight tilt of the tree at the bottom left is a little disconcerting to me, but it adds to the off balance feel of the shot.

Baby you are getting good. I know who you are. Stole my idea, well you deserve a big number for this one, promise to show me the spot someday? And let's get the PA to fix that burnt out red bulb. :) Nice job you are really getting good. If this isn't who I think it is, oh am I embarrassed.

Pity there is a tree on the left bank, would have been cleaner witout it but nothing much you can do. Great colors and I like the composition. Maybe the white (city?) lights at the lwer edge could be toned down a bit to not draw attention from the bridge.

I REALLY like this picture, but I suggest losing the cheesy frame and using something more conventional for web presentation.
