I like this macro and simple composition. I like that there is shadow there, but I wish it was not so much, it seems a tad overpowering. :) |

Aw, that's much better than any picture of a dandelion I've ever taken! Nice contrast between the white and the green background. Nice dof. Not sure i'd see it on the front of any magazine about gardening though. 7 |

This is a great photo of a dandelion... but something makes me question whether a gardener would want to have this particular plant in their garden. This is a weed, and although we often think it's pretty or interesting... it is still a weed. I guess I'm questioning whether a magazine called the gardener would ever want to have a weed on the front cover, especially one that so easily spreads the seeds for more weeds. It is a cool photo though. |

Nice macro ...but I am sure most gardeners would be trying to rid their lawns of these weeds. |

I really like the split lighting. Not sure I want to encourage this in my lawn, however. |

Nice close up shot, but you are glorifying the weed. making it look like a pretty thing to have around, however, 'the gardener' would cringe at the sight of dandelions. Oh well. Still a very nice close up shot, great detail, and lighting is nice as well. |

Interesting macro shot. I would have liked to see the focal point (I guess you'd call it a seed pod) in uniform lighting, rather than half in shade. 6 |

If the dandelions in my garden grew this beautifully I wouldn't pull them out......something about the crop doesn't quite work??...... |

I'm a gardener, sometimes, and while I really like this excellently taken photo....I would be greatly preturbed at a gardening magazine with a WEED on the cover, one that I have an exceptionally hard time getting rid of (see neighbors...). I'm going to score this as a 7 for the wonderful quality of your photo. Rob the Swash |
