Challenge: What? (Basic Editing III)

I know I'm at a certain risk entering a self-portrait, but I think I'll have to deal with that. My hubby didn't want to get all green & stuff.
Anyway, in Holland there's this "Shrek"-potatoes with peas inside. When I was thinking about this challenge, I thought this idea would be great fun. Yeah, right.
First I had to think of how I had to make the ears. I tried clay, but that didn't work. Then I had the great idea (NOT) to print some real Shrek-ears, cut them out and attached them on my ears with small rubbers. They really hurt, but it was the only way I could think of.
Spent half an hour to get green, after that 3 1/2 hours to get the shot I wanted. I can tell you it's frustrating when you have to attach the ears back again for the 7th time... :(
I hate it when I don't have a model and I have to shoot a selfportrait again. No control over the composition, and it takes way too long to get what I want.
After selecting this photo, I used the RAW-converter, levels, curves, USM, desaturated blue and cropped a little.
I hope you guys like it, but I'll never, ever do this again! ;) |

| I think it's great. Missed it during the challenge, but IMHO this placed too low, and was a 6+ shot. Nicely done. |

| Not the greatest quality, technically, but a really valiant effort. Very original. This is hilarious. Thanks for the laugh. I'd bump up the green a smidge. Amidst the mundane entries, this is a stand out. 7 |
