great picture idea. i wonder how this would have looked as a b&w? very nice composition. the use of negative space makes me feel like something is missing for them (which i think is the point here).

Strong sentiment, but it doesn't give me a visual reflection.
Also, the girl's profile is somewhat lost against the man's eyebrow... perhaps the double portrait would have greater impact if the lovely shadows on the girl's mouth were contrasted against the man's forehead?

Very nice, I can feel the sadness more in his face and eyes.

Shots from this angle (going up the nose) rarely turn out attractive, appealing or substantive. Just a tip.

It is a reflection of sadness, but I don't really it as a reflecting surface.

interesting interpretation! I enjoy how you did not center the models in the middle of the photo. I like the gradation of brown colors - from the lightness of the skin, towards the deep brown color of the left bottom corner.

This has a theatrical sense to it. I feel like I'm watching one of Shakespeare's tragedy's. I wish their faces were a bit more focused. Nice placement in the shot. Maybe a bit better lighting coming from the left would help as well. Great idea. Different and imaginative take on the challenge.

Challenge details: Creatively photograph a reflecting surface that is not a mirror while keeping your camera out of the shot.
While this is a reflection of feelings, it is not a reflecting surface.
