No cropping. Resized. Level adjustments. Really, pretty much just out of the camera.

My two early "shadow" thoughts about this picture. First, I love how you can't quite tell where snail ends and shadow begins -- they're part of the same entity. Second, we've all been talking this last week about how "big" things cast shadows -- you can't get much smaller than the shadows cast by imperfections in concrete.

Very nice composed photo and very good shadow.

Funny idea, nicely shot. I'd prefer to see light on the snail so that he's not all in darkness.

Very nice! This is an excellent shadow... the depth of field on this photo is almost perfect also.. maybe just a touch more but it's ok as is :) I like the way the concrete texture distorts the shadow of this snail... good work! - jmsetzler

This is nice. The concrete looks hot, it would be cool if the snail was going real fast and a little blured. HA HA HA HA. I don't get paid to tell jokes.

Very nice macro shot. Good control over DOF and exposure.

ewwww, YUKE! Why would you want to see this shadow?

Great shot and great title. Is the snail just slightly out of focus, or am I going blind from voting on all of these? :)

I like snails. It was nice of this one to pose for you while you snapped it's picture. Since it is moving up and to the right, I would probably have framed it lower and maybe as a landscape view.

very nice!

horizontal orientation and allowing the snail to fill the picture would have made this a great photo

HA you are copying me!!! :) When taking pictures of critters get down on the same plane as them.

A tigher cropping would have been better by focusing it more on the snail as it is quite empty on the foreground.

Great!

Great shadow!!! I would like to see this with less background and a closer crop:)
